Alnwick Community Development Trust

Alnwick Spring Show

The Trust is actively involved in Alnwick in Bloom and the Alnwick Spring Show. The Trust Manager is the Treasurer of Alnwick in Bloom and Secretary of the Alnwick Spring Show.

The 2008 Alnwick Spring Show attracted hundreds of visitors and was a tremendous success. The classes for the show were Floral Arts, Schools, Open, Children's, Alpines & Cookery. The Show was FREE to enter and Admission to the show was FREE also. (tickets to The Alnwick Garden were not required for entry to the show area).

The show had expanded from last year and occupied the Visitor Centreand Pavillion. The show commitee were concerned that the adverse weather in the weeks leading up to the show would have detered many entrants but we need not have worried. The show was well supported.

We were pleased that Her Grace, the Duchess of Northumberland, agreed to present the prizes and it was apparent that she was delighted with the event.

Plans are already underway for the 2009 Alnwick Spring Show. The Show committee would like to thank The Alnwick Garden Events Manager, Mariza Ampanza, and The Alnwick Garden staff for their support. We would also like to thank the following show sponsors:
